Team Leopard. Copy Cat.
After enduring months and months of secretive tease from the Brothers Schleck and their ringmaster Brian Nygaard, we finally got our first look at the exciting new Leopard kit. Wait, this looks familiar: Clean, bold, uncluttered black with a chest-high band of pastel mint blue-green and a block of white on the back? Why, it's the Team Sky kit. Does the UCI have a rule about ripping off another team's design work? Will Sky's boss David Brailsford plan legal action in light of the blatant theft of his graphic look? We're looking a Leopard, the Copy Cat Squad. Nygaard and his cays have been putting this team together for almost a year. Any fool could see the startling resemblance to the Sky design. This should have been caught in the sketch stage. Imitation is flattery but it's also insulting, low on creativity and borderline illegal. Twisted Spoke can almost feel the outrage, indignant forum comments and general laughter from the blogosphere. Leopard True Racing. How about starting with some true colors?
